As per the request of my favorite aunt!

Aparently I'm not holding up my end of the blogging bargain!!
So here is a post to catch anyone up who actually reads my blog!!
Let's start with Kannon.....we've had quite the trying week with this little fickle tow year old.....backsliding on our potty training(simply because she said she wants to pee on the carpet......oh yes she did!) and instead of saying "yes ma'am and yes sir" she's just shortened her answers to "sure". I know it's all kind of adorable in it's own way, but we're trying really hard to get back to no accidents and better manners. I know I shouldn't expect too much from a two year old, but I do.

I'm officially 25 weeks pregnant, and feeling just peachy! Presley is two pounds and growing wonderfully! We have the great pleasure(because of some high normal kidney dilation...nothing to be too worried about) of having an ultrasound at every doctor's appointment. Most pregnancies you get two or three during the fabulous forty weeks of pregnancy. At my last appointment on Monday, Presley was in the perfect position to get a 4-d snapshot of her precious little fat face!! As wonderful as it was to see what she looks like, I almost felt like I someway robbed myself of the great surprise of what she will look like at birth.
We are trying for a VBAC, so long as she is not breech and not over 9 pounds(as per the direction of my OB) Of course it really doesn't matter to me which way she comes, just as long as she does!

Our weekends!

We are so excited that Spring is near! It's golfing time. Kannon LOVES to be on the golf course with her daddy on the weekend. Playing in the sandpits and riding in the basket of the golf cart are her most favorites!

Oh the good ole days

Well, I'm 14 weeks pregnant and feeling fine most of the time. I (like with Kannon's pregnancy) have aversions to the smell of meat cooking, and definitley know what I want to eat, and what I dont want to eat!
If i may have any complaints about pregnancy, it's that I loose out on precious sleep. I am a stomach sleeper.....always have been and always will be(as long as I'm not pregnant)
Just this past week, I am no longer able to sleep on my belly.....I feel like I'm squashing the unborn! So my sleep is no longer enjoyable, because i find myself waking to check on Kannon, and tossing and turning to get comfortable.
It's not that i can't get comfortable so much as it is that sleeping on my stomach is just a comfort thing.....not a comfortable thing. If that makes sense.

Did you know?

Just a random piece of information I found out today! Did you know that you can't get your tubes tied at a Catholic hospital? Not that I'm getting mine tied(or even interested for that matter) I had my first prenatal visit today, and my doctor will deliver at one of two hospitals: St. Dominics or Women's hospital. He just informaed me that if i was even considering tubal ligation, that St. Dominics was a no go!
As the phrase goes, you learn something new everyday!

The Park

Well, we just got home from our first of many trips to the nearby park. We took our lunch and sat at the picnic table under the gazebo and watched other kids while we ate. Then Kannon was off to dig in the sand......seriously she was in the sand for 35 minutes before she discovered how fun the playground equipment was.
We have a small little playground set in the apartment complex we live in, but It's not that great. It has two slides and a little round ladder thing to climb on....so we needed to find something more exciting!
Kannon was having a blast.....she climbed all over everything, swang until she couldn't stand it any longer. She loves the balance beam(aka the balance bean)and the shaking bridge!
We had so much fun, just the two of us.
More to come soon!

It's all just too much sometimes

Well....we've made it. We moved. And I know to a lot of people 105 miles is not a big deal.....but I'm not a lot of people. When everyday is spent with your BFF/sister and her kids.....moving was quite the emotional shock. So instead of sharing a cup of coffee every morning, we are now sharing a telephone call, which is fine, but it's just not coffee.
So here are some of the things I am missing the most right now....

Kids Music

I am writing this blog to endorse the most adorable kids music.
The Laurie Berkner Band is the greatest thing since sliced bread, in my house! I am listening to it right now(only because my niece and daughter insisted we have it on so they could dance in my kitchen)
I really don't know how to describe the style of music it is, so you should follow this link to take a listen for yourself. Kannon's favorite song is Kandy Kane Jane, and of course Going on a hunt.
So that's all for now.....but I promise there is more to come!....soon!
